Susan Edmonson
Susan Edmondson is President & CEO of Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs, a membership organization ensuring that downtown serves as the economic, civic and cultural heart of the city. In that role, she helms four corporate entities — two nonprofits and two tax districts – and has led an economic resurgence of over $2 billion of new investment into the city center.
Previously, she served 10 years as executive director of the Bee Vradenburg Foundation, a private foundation supporting the arts in the Pikes Peak region. She served for seven years as arts-and-entertainment editor at The Gazette in Colorado Springs and also has worked for daily newspapers in Nevada and California.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a master’s degree in public administration at UCCS. She serves on the board of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum and the International Downtown Association, and she is co-founder of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region.
